Baku City Circuit – Official Golf Tournament

Dreamland Golf Club played host to the Official Golf Tournament recognising the start of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix week which will be staged on the world class Baku City Circuit on Sunday 12th June.

Sixty-eight golfers participated in this seventeen team Golf Tournament. Conditions were perfect for the 5th edition of the Baku City Circuit Scramble, warm temperatures with a pleasant breeze, the course and greens were in excellent condition for a fitting tournament. The players enjoyed the very best hospitality from the team at Dreamland Golf Club and Baku City Circuit. Following a grass tee warm up, the teams started on course at 10am. On course players were hosted to a “Pit Stop”. The eighteen hole tournament was completed in four hours after which time the players returned for the prize giving presentation in Dreamlands White Hall function room.

After a two year hiatus, everyone was delighted to see the iconic tournament back on the event calendar. From the 17 teams who took to the course for this year’s Baku City Circuit tournament, 4 teams posted net scores in the 50’s. In third place with a score of 65, net 59 went to Robert Stevenson, Edward Edgar, John Salins & Andrew Ikstrums. The runners up also scored a gross 65, net 56.6, Chris Williams, Grant Watson, Alastair Dougall & Scott Paterson. The 2022 Baku City Circuit Scramble winners with an amazing 10 under par, net 55.3, Elman Rzayev, Eldar Kerimov, IIgar Ahmadov & Khalil Huseynov. Congratulations to all 12 winners who will be able to enjoy all the race action from Thursday to Sunday courtesy of Baku City Circuit.

The side contest winners for the tournament were – Nearest the Pin Hole 5 Elman Rzayev, Nearest the Pin on Hole 10 Eldar Kerimov, Nearest the Pin Hole 17 Chris Crampton. Meiqi Pan won the Ladies Longest Drive on Hole 4 whilst the Gents Longest Drive on Hole 18 was won by Grant Watson. ”
