COVID-19 Indonesia’s “I Do Care” lable restores tourist confidence
Covid-19 pandemic which started from last year until now has hit the tourism sector everywhere. To restore tourist confidence, the Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, has established guidelines for the implementation of CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment sustainability) for tourism and creative economy business. Furthermore, business operators also receive CHSE certification which is a national accreditation in providing clean and healthy tourism products and services.

There are eight tourism businesses that are prioritized for early-stage CHSE certification, such as: hotels, restaurants, tourist lodges, tourist villages, tourist attractions, rafting, diving, and golf courses. The granting of this CHSE certification is marked with the label “InDOnesia Care” (I Do Care). Tourism businesses that have the “I Do Care” label mean that they have implemented the CHSE health protocol.

Through this “I Do Care” label, the government of Indonesia is aiming to build the confidence of domestic tourists in the safety and security of tourism services, so that domestic tourism industry can be recovered before international travel begin to start again.

For domestic travel in Indonesia, tourist must show evidence of having carried out the vaccine and PCR or Antigen results (depends on the status of the destination area). Currently, tourists or travelers in Indonesia are required to download the PeduliLindungi (Care and Protect) as an integrated mobile-apps that contains vaccine certificate, PCR/Antigen test results, and travel status from and to the previous visited cities, so that the safety of domestic travel can be maintained.
